I just bough DVD-Rs cause thats what I was told to buy for my computer buuuut I stupidly just now looked at were I put the disc in on my laptop and it says DVD+R DL… Dose this mean the DVD-Rs wont work???

How much shared video memory do I need in a laptop?

Some laptops I have seen have up to a GB of shared memory, but some have only a couple hundred MB, such as http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8884497&type=product&id=1211454761803.
Do I only need in the 1000 MB range if I play graphics intensive games (which I don’t)? I do want to play DVD’s, though.
