o.k recently Toshiba finally quit on the HD DVD.
but is that a big factor???
i mean does that mean that the blu-ray disc wins???
there other companys out there that makes HD DVDs.
and also that means end of Xbox360 games???

Well, once I got started I couldn’t do much since they are copyright. I heard of using a video stabilizer with my unit. I am not planning to do anything illegal with my copies. I want to save some space and conserve them for a longer time. Can someone help me, please?

I have alot of vhs tapes. I would like to make them to dvds. I bought a dvr but it wont allow me to record because of copyright protection.

My cousins just sent me some DVDs but they won’t work anywhere except on my laptop. I tried playing them on our DVD/VHS players, we have a Sony one and a Toshiba one…but it keeps saying “check system”. I’m not sure what I’m supposed to be checking for. Any clues as to how to make this work? I asked my cousins and they said it seemed to be working just fine when they watched it =S

I have tons of home videos that I am hoping to convert to DVDs for my family. I don’t have any special equipment–any recommendations on the best way to begin? What should I purchase? Or, if it is way too difficult or expensive to do on my own, is there a company or website that can do this for me?

i know i cant play my dvds and they are not copys.i downloaded a decoder.still nothing.

I have a new Toshiba with windows vista and it had windows media player 11 already installed on it, however it wouldnt read some dvds so i downloaded cyberlink power dvd. I thought this programs are supposed to work together however how i do this? now im able to use the power dvd to watch movies but the image keeps jumping just a little but i dont know how to solve this problem. Also now that i have power dvd im able to put very high volume, however in media player i had a limit and it was really low…how can i make one of the programs work well?

media player- low sound and says that needs a DVD Decoder (MPEG-2 Decoder)

Cyberlink power dvd (thought this was the dvd decoder but how i make it work with windows media player) this works with perfect loud sound but the image jumps.

I am usually able to do this but my mom gave me her tv without the remote ( she couldn’t find it). I have a 32 inch RCA tv and Direct TV. The direct tv is connected to the back of the tv with the yellow, red, and white cable cords. I just bought a new dvd player for the tv and I plugged it in and put the yellow, white, and red directly into the tv. It didn’t work, so I connceted it to the cable box. I am not able to turn the tv to video mode because I don’t have the remote (my mom said she found it). I tried through the menu buttons to find a video command, there is none. I hooked up other dvds to my other tv without a problem. One went directly into the front of the tv and my other tv had the video button on the tv. Any help would be great….my kids are missing there favorite movies.
