Is it possible to burn two films onto one DVD disc? [and How?]?

I know I could merge the two into one, but is it possible to burn two (or more) SEPORATE films onto one DVD-R disc - and to select which one to watch instead of waiting for one to end (or skipping through) first. If you could help without large programs, that would help too, as I only have limited disc space - hence why I don’t really want to waste half a DVD that’s approx. half my hard drive!
Oh, and would Nero 6 do this, as I could get it from a friend - I’ve been using the software that came with my freecom drive.

title says it all. one day, i put in 50 first dates, and windows media player gave me a message telling me to lower my resolution and color setting. i did, to the lowest settings, and nothing, obviously. quick time and google video player don’t work either, they don’t even recognize its a movie.
my dvd drive works fine, reads everything perfectly. what should i do?
