I bought an RCA DVD recorder to copy a bunch of my old VHS tapes into DVDs. ?

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

Well, once I got started I couldn’t do much since they are copyright. I heard of using a video stabilizer with my unit. I am not planning to do anything illegal with my copies. I want to save some space and conserve them for a longer time. Can someone help me, please?

I’ve been using Shrink and DVD Decrypter for a few years and recent release Sony DVD, I am not capable of copying. DVD Decrypter will decrypt it but Shrink, DVD clone III can not gain access to the files. Has anyone else seen this problem and is there a work around. movies that won’t copy are Underworld, Memories of a Geshia, Capoti…..
Thanks for your help.

DVD copy for personal use?

Friday, December 18th, 2009

I want to burn a copy of a DVD for personal backup that’s scratched up while the players can still read it. I haven’t followed the legalities lately but I hear that it’s illegal? Last I heard there was some kind of funky thing where it was illegal to sell the program with the copyright un-blocker so they would offer a free “upgrade” on the website? Not sure these days what’s going on, I just don’t want to have to pay for another copy of The Wall.

DVD copy protection. how do you ensure it?

Sunday, December 13th, 2009

I’ve been working on this series of DVD’s (call them an educational DVD series) and I want to market and perhaps distribute them them via the internet….

But I figure that there is no sense doing so if people are just going to copy them and share them with all the “other students”….

So what’s the easiest and most economical way to copy protect your DVD video files to ensure you don’t miss out on your royalties…..
