why cant my dvd recordings play on my computer?

How do I burn a DVD to a blank CD with my computer?

I want to burn my sister’s dance recital DVD onto a blank CD so I can send it down to Florida to show the other half of my family. I have a 20x External Super Multi DVD Rewriter because my computer doesn’t have a DVD drive. Please and thank you.

Does it make a difference if a DVD drive is configured as Master or Slave if it is by itself?

I installed a DVD drive into my computer and it is the only thing on the wire. I found out that it’s still set as slave. Should I change it to master? I might add a hard drive onto the same cable and naturally the hard drive would be set as master and the dvd drive as slave, and it would be nice if I could just keep it as a slave instead of having to change it again.

I need help. My CD/DVD removable drive in notebook computer is not working properly. What do I do?

I have a Toshiba notebook, and the CD/DVD removable drive is being “picky”… I put in a disc with pictures on it, and it will only open some files, seems to be slow, and will show “(not responding)” when I try to open a file… then it sort-of restarts???
This computer is pretty new… any suggestions from all you tech gurus out there?… I would really appreciate it…
The disc works fine in other computers…
What is firmware?
Any way to troubleshoot the problem?

When i put my DVD into my computer, it wont read it?

My computer works fine with othe DVD’s but this one i made with a DVD recorder, and sometimes it reads it, and sometimes it dosent, its a DVD-R and my computer is a windows xp, plus when i got to my computer to play the disk, the program dosnt respond

taking a video of a DVD on your computer?

i have a mac OS X version 10.5.5 and i wanna put a DVD in my computer and then take a video of it so i can upload a scene to youtube. You know where like people have video clips of movies that they took from their computer? like how do i take a video of a DVD when its in my comp?? is there some kinda program?? and my cameras to wobbly and doesnt have good quality

How can I watch a DVD copied onto the Computer?

I have copied a DVD onto the computer, I used Apollo DVD Copy. I can watch the movie on my computer but I want to be able to watch it like when you play a DVD on the tv, with the DVD menu showing at the start and being able to choose features like scene selection and special features. I copied all the data off the disk so I know it is all in the folder for this movie. I would like to know of a program that I could play the DVDs on.

Can you download your dvd’s to your computer?

My son was wanting to download my movies on his PSP. We haven’t figured out how. I am open to suggestions. We bought some kind of media organizer with an extension but I can’t get it to download. My computer is less than two years old it has plenty of storage and it’s top quality. I just don’t know what I am doing. My movies will play, but they won’t download and save.
