How do I burn a DVD to a blank CD with my computer?

I want to burn my sister’s dance recital DVD onto a blank CD so I can send it down to Florida to show the other half of my family. I have a 20x External Super Multi DVD Rewriter because my computer doesn’t have a DVD drive. Please and thank you.

How do I create a DVD disk or an movie CD especially when the file needed to be burned is bigger than the disc?

For example disk space is 696 MB and movie’s is 702 MB. That is when I use a regular CD to make a movie CD. When using a DVD it always gives me an error message after preparing the disk for more than 40 minutes to be burned as a DVD. I tried using the Quick player and also Nero before. Don’t have a clue what to do next.

Who likes VHS better than DVD and audio cassettes better than CD’s?

The picture quality is better with DVD but they keep skipping and freezing and the DVD player says “No Disk” but there is a disk in there. VHS doesn’t freeze or skip.
I have the CD/DVD cleaner but I have to use it after every 5 hours of use? I didn’t know that. I thought once a week would be enough. What a pain. I’d have to run the cleaner thing every couple of days.

If a dvd player says it plays dvd-r/-rw does that mean that mean that is all it plays?

I bought this dvd player and it says it plays dvd, dvd-r/-rw, cd-r/-rw. But my burnt movies are on dvd+rw discs. Does that mean it won’t read them?

how do i make a dvd out of a CD-R disc?

As the title says i have a .avi file that i want to be able to watch on my dvd player. but have no idea how to put the videos on the disc. i heard u need to use something called Nero? can someone tell me step by step no how to use nero to make a dvd on CD-R disc?
