DVD Blog

Now the panasonic recorder seems to have grouped the scenes by date and as there are several on each day of recording the files are too large to upload to youtube and myspace! It won’t allow me to edit and separate the scenes in the actual unit as it’s in video format and to change the format the contents of the disc will be erased. My computer DVD programme (which was recommended by answerer no. 2, thank you!) won’t work with a film that isn’t saved to the harddrive. There is no option to save it to the harddrive either and I am at my wits’ end! I’ve tried right clicking and clicking on every available option. Does anyone know what I can do??!

My boyfriend blames me for this problem but I have no clue why. He used to be able to play DVD’s, AVI’s, etc. on his computer. The DVD’s would play with Media Player, the AVI’s with DiVX. He says that one day, out of the blue, he couldn’t play ANY movies on his computer anymore. I tried to install a new media player for him, which worked fine on my computer for all movie formats, so that he could enjoy his movies agian. The program installed fine, but when I put a disk in the drive, it wouldn’t play. I checked the D drive and it wouldn’t even recognize that a disk was present. My boyfriend thinks I did something on purpose because the movies he wanted to watch were ****. I don’t care about the **** so much as the working condition of a computer he brought less than 8 months ago. Why did it play movies then but now won’t? Help me fix his computer please!!!
I forgot to mention…the drive still burns CD’s (music from iTunes) but won’t recognize data CD’s (Music I saved for him in iTunes).

my computer has dvd player/burner … supports dual layer… I burned a DVD using my cable DVR.. why cant i watch this DVD on my computer ??? where can i go to correct this?

It is connected to the computer with the S-video cord I go to Windows Media Player and nothing is there. I can’t figure out how to watch the dvd’s on the monitor using my dvd player through a s-video cable.

I tried putting the dvd into my cd drive and i even looked up firewire cables but my camcorder doesn’t have the proper plug in.

when i insert a DVD-RW thas never even been used into my computer teh computer tells me its not a a writable dvd or its full…how can i fix this problem i need to make a data dvd

I ordered some DVDs of a soap opera from Germany, and I can’t watch them on my computer. Can someone instruct me on how to make my computer’s DVD drive into region zero? I know it can be done, but with random internet searches, the results were confusing and difficult to understand.

I can’t play DVD’s or CD’s on my computer anymore and I receive the message on my computer, Put in Disc or no disc inside, one of those messages. So what does this mean? Does it mean the disc slot needs cleaning? What would you clean it with? Thanks!
To the first person who answerd this question or to someone else who knows: Is it pretty easy to do this task & do you have anymore details on how to do this?
