AVI To DVD file size?

have a strange problem happening when I try to burn an AVI file to DVD using Nero 6 vision express

I have an AVI file which shows as 700mb in windows explorer but when I go to burn the file it shows as over 3 gig whn i add it to burn to DVD.

Is there a logicl reason for this, is this common or is something a-miss?
How can i burn 4 such DVD movies in a DVDR ??

Any Help would be highly appreciated ..

I have nero6 n I cant seem to leave a open session when I burn a data dvd How do I leave it open to add later?

I want to be able to add more data to the 4.7gig disc at a later date but each time I put data on a dvd lets say 1.2 gig n it burns it,the next time I put this same disc in to add more data it reads disc is full and to put blank disc in recorder.How to I leave the first session open to add more later?

In Sonic DigitalMedia Plus V.7, I can’t burn a DVD and get a strange message?

Whenever I try to go to the menu to burn a DVD, I get the following message…”You recently updated your Windows Operating System. As a result, some of the MyDVD registry keys have been updated. In order for MyDVD to function properly, the application will close and your computer will be restarted”. I have not updated anything and when I restart, nothing happens. Please help!!!

Can I use an S Video to burn TV shows to DVD on my PC?

I keep getting “unspecified error “80004005″ when I try to burn a DVD using Roxio Copy and Convert Software?

I have tried everything I can think of like cleaning the registry updating everything but no success. Every time I try to burn a movie i get this error and lose another DVD to the garbage! I am So frustrated! I have used Roxio many times without a problem. What do I do now??
