Every time i try to play shop bought original DVD’s on Windows media player 11 or Real player BETA i get an error message telling me that there is a problem with the Digital Protection.Other players i have got are fine and play my discs ok but i am completely baffled by this.I am using Windows XP with service pack 2,i have 768 of ram and i am using a 128 mb graphics card.I have used updates for all of my hardware but i need to find a decoder that will be ok with my Radeon ATI Sapphire graphics card.

I **** ripping movies where +R’s take 2 dvd’s

but my dvd player wont take DL’s

is there a way to make a player think you have a +R?

If the DVD has subtitles in French, English, German, etc., how do you select which you want? You can do it with a DVD player, but I want to do it when playing a DVD on a computer.

The DVD player that I just bought ONLY outputs video data in the 1080p format and it can ONLY be connected via HDMI.

I thought this player would work fine with my TV set that I bought last year until I read some fine print in the user guide to discover that it is only 720p (even though the display at the store said it could display UP to 1080p).

What I really need to know is will I be able to see any picture whatsoever if I hook up this DVD player to the TV that I already have because of the difference in resolutions?

I want to put my old family souvenirs on DVD. I have an HP Media center PC where I can connect my VHS player.
Here’s what I have :
1) a VHS player
2) a computer with audio/video jacks
3)cable for audio/video jacks
