If it makes any difference, I have not used up the full capacity of the disc, and I am using a Memorex disc.

Tuesday, June 30th, 2009

Windows XP will not recognize newly instered discs that I insert in my
DVD and CD Rom. XP believes that any disc inserted is the same disc
that was in the drive when the machine was last booted up.

Would audio copy to a DVD or CD if I am having an audio problem on my computer?

Tuesday, June 30th, 2009

For some reason, I am not getting audio on my computer. I have tried speakers, ear phones etc and checked the system which declared my audio is fine. I have checked the volume and nothing is mute. I have a CD and a DVD player and I have found some videos on the internet. But they make no sense without the audio, Would I get audio if I burn them[videos] to CD or DVD?

Building my own computer, need advice?

Tuesday, June 30th, 2009

I am trying to build a computer that can play a game like Battlefield 2, I really dont need a high end one, but one computer that can play it smoothly on medium settings. And I also have a $500 limit. I already have a monitor, mouse, keyboard, and speakers, I just need the tower. So I went to newegg and came up with this. Is this a good computer for the price? And reccomandations? Different parts? Anything will be helpful.
*GIGABYTE GA-MA74GM-S2H AM2+/AM2 AMD 740G HDMI Micro ATX AMD
*Rosewill R103A Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 350W Power Supply with 20+4 pin connector - Retail
*ASUS EN8500GT TOP/HTP/256M GeForce 8500 GT 256MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready Video Card - Retail
ASUS top overclock technology at 600MHz

*G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail
*LITE-ON Black 20X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 8X DVD+R DL 20X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 12X DVD-RAM 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 32X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM 2MB Cache IDE 20X DVD±R DVD
*Western Digital Caviar SE WD1600AAJS 160GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM
*AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ Brisbane 2.7GHz 2 x 512KB L2 Cache Socket AM2 65W Dual-Core Processor - Retail
*Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition SP3 English for System Builders 1 Pack CD - OEM

All this can be found on Newegg, my grand total was $480 minus $20 Video card mail in rebate, so $460(shipping in price). So is this good, and worth the money, remember $500 limit. Thanks!
I would get the 8600GT ASUS one, but my monitor has a vga blue port, the 8600GT has something else. But mostly my question is will these parts work together?

dvd players upconversion?

Tuesday, June 30th, 2009

is there really a noticeable diffrence between the 1080i and 1080p. Im in the market for a dvd player that can record all my favorite shows from a satelite reciever. I was considering the sony but I heard theyre copy protection is too sensitive so I would have trouble recording from hbo or any sat channel? is this true. My tv is a hd set capable of 1920 x 1080 progressive scan…help.

What is better, Blu-ray/HD-DVD, or a movie stored in digital format like on an ipod?

Tuesday, June 30th, 2009

I mean, in the future, is it possible to get higher quality media in disk form or in digital form like on a flash drive… I hope that made since.
