Can I be sued for libel in this situation?

Thursday, April 30th, 2009

I recently bought a DVD set online. When it arrived the box was damaged. I asked for a refund and they said that I would have to send the DVD back. I did not want to do that (the DVDs themselves worked fine). I did not want to pay out of my own pocket to send it back. So I told them to forget the refund and that I would just keep the package.
They wrote back and told me to send the package back and they would refund it. I stated again that I would keep the item. They said that it was obvious that I had been trying to scam them I wrote back and told them that the transaction was complete and we were done. I also went and left feedback on the ordering site in the negative column but I stuck to the facts and simply stated the product had been damaged when it came.
The next day I recieved an email stating that since I had left negative feedback that this was slander and that I would be hearing from their attorneys.
So my question is can they sue me for that?

What is the difference between DVD - R media, and DVD -RW media. I assume that RW means re writable, but help

Thursday, April 30th, 2009

So, my computer has dvd RW capability, but i accidently bought some DVD R’s, and it definately does not work, but thats okay i can always return. When i return the item, I can get DVD RW and that should work. However, I just need to know what the difference is between the two. When it says RW does that mean you can put it BACK into the disc drive any time you want and write on top of those original files? also, when it says double layered , does your compouter have to have some special 2 layer dis drive so that you can work with two layers? how do you know if you have this? thanks!

1. Matt had $21.50.
She wants to buy a book and a CD.
The sale tax is 6.25%.
The book is $5.85 and a CD is $14.99.
Does Matt have enough money ($21.50) to but the book ($5.85) and the CD ($14.99) plus sales tax (at 6.25%)?
How do you know whether or not he has enough money to purchase the book and CD?

2. Marcia bought a prom dress for $120.
She had a coupon for 25% off her final purchase.
What was the final price of her purchase?

3. A video and dvd store charges a monthly membership fee of $7.50.
The charge to rent a movie is only $1.
Another store has no membership fee but it costs $2.50 to rent a movie
How many movies need to be rented each both for the total fees to be the same from either company?

4. A wedding reception is held at a restraurant in Mississippi.
The cost of the food and the drinks is equal to $1492.50.
The state sale tax is 7.0001%.
The large party tip is 20.009%
The total bill includes: the price of food + drinks, tax of state and automattically added tip for restraurant.
A. What is the state sales tax

Thursday, April 30th, 2009

I’ve been working out for a couple of weeks now and am starting to really enjoy it. I do the “Turbo Jam’ dvd, cardio and scultping. I’m wanting to do a workout in the morning when I get up and than again after work in the evening. Which workout would be best to do in the morning? The 45 minute cardio or the 45 minute sculpt with light weights? Which way will give me faster results. Our trip to Mexico is quickly approaching!
