i have a go video dvd writer and i made a home dvd of me playing xbox. I finalize the disc but when i put it into my computer it can only be played with dvd shrink and when i try to convert it to avi for youtube with dvd catalyst, it dosent accept the format….have no idea what the reason is all help is appreciated.

i burnt a cd and the other one that i did worked in the stero and dvd player. But the one that i just did doesn’t
does anyone know how to make it play??

I already having a cd player.it has stopped working well.1)i am planning to buy a MULTIPURPOSE DVD WRITER, which can play,write,re-write CD’S as well as DVD’S ( is it called a COMBO DVD WRITER?)2) please mention how much APPROX it will cost?3)which brand is long lasting with minimum fault?4)as i am intrested in an external one , can it have a bluetooth facility or will it be necessarily connected by wiring?(please mention any model having above specifications which is available) 5)we do not upgrade quite often, only once in say 6-7yrs or so therefore we do not mind to purchase a latest equipment,with latest multifunctional features(ie.like having bluetooth facility or so, supports or goes in any sort of ports or plays any type of cd/dvd even if it is a scratched one, on which a person can rewrite a nos of times, which does not become obselete in next 7yrs or so). please suggest best one as per your knowledge.

I just bought my parents a new Sony DVD/VHS recorder, but it won’t allow them to record anything from HBO or Starz. It puts up a message saying “Cannot record copy protected.” They can record pay-per-view movies and anything off the networks, but not the movie channels. Is there some way to get around this asinine feature?
We have DirectTV by Hughes, so that may be the reason.

The VCR portion of my combo DVD VCR has been holding on to tapes. It is acting like it is sticky inside or something. I have been able to remove the tapes, but I would like to do something like clean it to help prevent this from happening anymore. Any ideas???

I have a converter for up to 1600 watts but not sure if this will work for a portable dvd player.
