my cd dvd rom lights up but doesnt read any suggestions?

i did a restore point on my computer before i done it every thing worked but since i did it my cd dvd rom lights up but doesnt read the error code is 39. i tried alot diffrent things from internet but nothing seems 2 work any suggestions? thanks 4 ur time.

What shipping rate should I chose on Amazon to get a DVD and CD shipped here by Friday?

I’d rather be safe than sorry, in this case. I procrastinating in getting a gift for my friend for Secret Santa. I live in the suburbs near New York City. Should I chose standard shipping (3-5 business days), 2-day, or 1-day?

What is the best software to buy if i want to copy a copy protected DVD to a blank DVD disc?

I was wondering what is the best software to buy if I want to create back-up Dvds of my own. My kids have a play room and i want them to have all of their movies next to their tv but i’m worried that they would scratch the original dvd. My dvd burner won’t make copies of a protected dvd so i was wondering what is the best software. Thanks

What are the cons of not having firewire input on DVD/VCR Recorder?

I am considering purchasing a Panasonic DMR-ES30VS Recorder/VCR Combo. The primary purpose of the purchase is to easily transfer VHS tapes to DVD but I might want to use it in other ways that I haven’t considered yet. It is supposed to be very simple to divide footage into chapters; ease of use is a plus for me. My computer and video camera have firewire (1394) ports but this recorder does not. It only takes analog. What are the cons of not having the firewire input?

How to get rid of static on DLP TV with an HD-DVD player?

I have a 50″ DLP 1080P TV and I just bought a 1080P HD-DVD player from Toshiba. It came with the movie 300 and when I played the movie the skin of the actors almost looked like some sort of static. The landscapes and skies looked perfect. Is there any way to fix this, or is it the DLP or the DVD player?
